GEOFF DEAN, PGA

    • A native southern Californian, started playing golf at the age of thirteen

    • In 1985 to 1989, he attended the University of San Diego.   By his junior year, he was the number one player and team captain.  While a USD Team Member, he earned Most Improved Golfer award, Gentleman Golfer award and MVP.  In 1989, Geoff earned the rank of one of the top players in the West Coast Athletic Conference.  Upon graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, he decided to become a professional golfer.

    • In 1989, he began his golfing career as a touring golf professional.  He participated in golf events on the Nike Tour, The Canadian PGA Tour, The Mexican PGA Tour and the PGA Tour of America. 

    • Geoff began teaching in 1995 and later became the Director of Instruction at a Golf Resort in Palm Springs, California. 

    • Winner of many local professional golf events.  In 2001 – 2003, he qualified for the Western Regional PGA Club Professional Championship.  In August 2003, Geoff won the Southern California PGA Section Championship with a three-day total of 208, 8 under par. As a result of this victory, he received three PGA Tour exemptions. He competed in the 2004 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, The Buick Open of San Diego and Nissan Open, in Los Angeles. These events were a great start to a career on the PGA Tour.

    • In October 2006, Geoff began teaching at SilverRock Resort, in La Quinta, California.  In February 2007, Geoff competed on the PGA Tour in the Nissan Open. 

    • Competed on the 2005 Golden State Tour in southern California. Highlights were a victory in August at the Desert Summer Championship with a three-day total of 203 (11 under par).   In 2006, Geoff competed as a full-time member of The AG Spanos Golf Tour, in California. The highlight of his year on the AG Spanos Tour was a third place finish at the Desert Classic with a three-day total of 206 (10 under par).  Also, in 2006, Geoff qualified for the National Club Professional Championship held in Verona New York at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.
